
Dan Miller
Dan Miller has spent 15 years in high growth, entrepreneurial oriented payroll and HR outsourcing firms and has successfully created and led teams through various stages of a corporation’s life cycle. He was the first CFO at Paylocity and led its financial and backoffice operations for more than 10 years. Dan’s skills and experience in developing scalable systems helped ensure Paylocity’s success as it grew to hundreds of employees and more than $25 million in annual revenue during his tenure.
Dan also served as a founding member and CFO of Blue Marble Payroll, a global provider of payroll and HR services capable of serving clients in more than 100 countries. There he designed and managed a treasury management system capable of automating the foreign exchange requirements for clients. Blue Marble Payroll grew from a start up to more than 30 employees during his tenure.
Dan has worked extensively with leadership teams in nonprofit organizations. This includes more than 11 years in corporate strategic planning, development, marketing, operations, and provider compensation at both West Suburban Hospital in Oak Park, Illinois and Evanston Northwestern Healthcare in Evanston, Illinois.
Dan has a passion for working to better our communities and has served as a school board member at Rivers Trails School District 26 in Mount Prospect, IL where he chaired the Finance committee. Dan was also a founding board member of the Chicago Center for Arts and Technology where he again served as Finance Chair.
Dan holds a bachelor’s of science in Business Administration from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
