
Jodi Levine, MBA
Jodi Levine is an independent healthcare consultant, focusing on growth strategy, performance improvement and business development. With an undergraduate degree in Health Care Administration from the University of Rochester and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, Ms. Levine has held leadership positions with a focus on driving growth across both provider and vendor organizations.
Most recently, she served as Vice President of Business Development and Strategy at Gateway Foundation, the largest not-for-profit substance abuse provider in the US. In that role, Ms. Levine reported directly to the CEO, built infrastructure for scalability, and managed marketing, sales and payer contracting.
Prior to Gateway, Ms. Levine spent 6 years as a senior leader at Stericycle, the market leader in regulated medical waste management. As Vice President of Corporate Business Development, her primary role was to develop and execute strategies to establish new lines of business, including identifying and assessing new service opportunities and assessing and acquiring dozens of target businesses, and resulting in the development of a $200mm medical communications SBU.
Ms. Levine was hired to join a turnaround team at Condell Medical Center as Vice President of Business Development in 2006, and was a lead negotiator in the sale of Condell to Advocate Health System. Prior to Condell, she was a Vice President at Pharos Innovations, a disease management technology and service startup company.
From 1996 to 2003, Ms. Levine was the Vice President of Managed Care Services at Evanston Northwestern Healthcare (now NorthShore University Health System). In that position, she established and managed an internal risk-bearing managed care entity that grew to $100mm in revenue in less than 3 years, and was a key negotiator in 4 strategic acquisitions.
Ms. Levine’s early career included consulting, managed care startup operations and hospital strategic planning and program development. She has presented at many industry conferences, and has been a visiting lecturer in healthcare law at DePaul University School of Law. Ms. Levine is a gun violence prevention activist with a leadership role in Moms Demand Action, and has served on the board of Planned Parenthood/Chicago Area.
