Last Friday, Revolution Workshop attended our partner, Chicago Jobs Council's 39th Annual Meeting Celebration: “Ideas and Action, from the Community for the Community – Virtual Edition”, where our Executive Director, Manny Rodriguez, was honored with the Betty J. Willhoite Award for his work helping to create opportunity, long-lasting careers, and employment support for individuals throughout our city.

"I am humbled and honored to receive the Betty J Willhoite Award from the Chicago Jobs Council. I have dedicated my career to helping the underserved achieve family sustaining careers and it is rewarding to be recognized as a leader in this work. With partners like CJC, I will continue the hard work of granting these opportunities to the very communities that have suffered from systemic racism and oppression. Thank you CJC for this tremendous honor." - Manny Rodriguez, Executive Director of Revolution Workshop

This award is given each year to an individual or organization that has gone above and beyond to promote employment and career advancement and we could not be more proud of our fearless leader for this recognition!

Thank you, Manny, for all that you do for RW trainees, our staff, and the community. And thank you, Chicago Jobs Council, for recognizing Manny and for your continued partnership and support.

While we continue to support our communities in combating the spread of COVID19 by adhering to public health and safety guidelines in our offices and workshop. We wanted to update our RW family on a few things:

We are still running our social enterprise, so please continue to reach out to us for any products or projects you may need. We also are continuing our work with RW alumni by providing training and community support. And in addition to that work, Revolution Workshop is excited to share that we will be training a new cohort in November 2020. Stay tuned for more details as we will be sharing additional information about signing up in the near future.

As always, thank you for your support and we look forward to getting back to the workshop where we can continue to help our community train, build, and grow.
