Hey Yall, My name is Jamara Fleming I am a talented, eager, and ambitious woman from the old Cabrini-Green.
As time passed I had a crisis with my infant son, and I didn’t have a stable job. With a background as a Hairstylist, I decided to attend a job ready program at metropolitan family services where they introduced me to Revolution Workshop. Where I received my Carpentry Entry Level 1 certificate throughout the time at Revolution Workshop, which made me establish my goals, and it gave me a chance to work with people who were brown skinned and wanted something out of life. More than what we come from. Revolution Workshop gave us that opportunity.
Revolution Workshop taught me how to do many things within the construction field and not only that but with SELF. “Free myself from my own shadow” Sometimes it’s us who are slowing self-down. I received my Carpentry Entry Level 1 certification, throughout the time at Revolution Workshop, I gained friends, family and a great support system. I now work for WALSH II Project Safety Manager HSE I
